Our previous events.
-The 280 Running Day
We held our first ever event, the heritage 280 running day between Skipton and Clitheroe to mark the final day of Preston Bus operation. All seven booked buses operated on our service and over 170 passengers passed through Skipton Bus Station on our buses! A big thank you goes out to our volunteers, bus owners and drivers who all came together to make the day the success it was!
As expected we had a few teething issues with the weather not helping. We will use these minor issues to improve and re-structure our events for future so watch this space for other events that may appear very soon.
Information about the day...
On Saturday 15th June we held our first event, the 280 Bus Running Day! Following the pending withdrawal of this rich in heritage service we will be increasing the frequency on the last day of Preston Bus operation on the service by running free heritage buses every 30 minutes between Skipton and Clitheroe. The buses will range from those that used to operate the 280 service to first timers on the route and it is expected to be a brilliant day out for all the family. Our buses are every 30 minutes from Skipton Bus Station from 10am with the last bus leaving here at 6pm with a planned convoy and photo-shoot of the last 280 in Skipton.
